Vacation, all I ever wanted… July 3, 2008

I’m headed to the beach beach!
Tomorrow is a holiday for me (even though the news doesn’t stop for holidays and some of my co-workers will be holding down the fort this weekend), and I am joining my boy and his family at a condo in Florida for the weekend.
I plan on doing nothing but sunning myself (with PLENTY of sunscreen — burning is SO not cool), reading a few books, eating lots of good food (assuming my mouth is feeling better), simply hanging out with some of my favorite people and having my favorite beach drink in a HUGE glass by me as I do all of these activities.
It will be fun.
This long weekend, I’ve arranged for Tipp, Alexa and Laura to blog in my absence. Enjoy what they’re writing, and make sure to let them know you think they’re as fabulous as I do.

Have a fabulous time! And do make sure you use the sunscreen for both UV-A and UV-B. I just saw something on the news the other week so I’m all sun-conscious. And, since I’ve come an inch away from heat stroke once before, I figure it’s good to be in the know about. And since I’m not doing anything nearly as fun or exciting as you… have a great time and regale us with tales when you return!
