Top 10 songs I want to karaoke before I die/get too old to want to karaoke:
- “Take Me or Leave Me,” from Rent
- “Jolene,” by Dolly Parton
- “The Underdog,” by Spoon
- “I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’,” by the Scissor Sisters
- “Eight Days a Week,” by the Beatle
- “Us,” by Regina Spektor
- “Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy,” by Queen
- “Always Be My Baby,” by Mariah Carey
- “You’re So Vain,” by Carly Simon
- “Have You Seen Me Lately?” by the Counting Crows
Because my dreams of karaoking “The Boy is Mine” AND “Like a Virgin” have already been fulfilled…

Madonna is always good for some karaoke! I’ve been to Kamikaze Karaoke a couple of times and they made my sister and me sing “Take Me or Leave Me”–very strange, but fun!
Great choices! I’d like to echo your Queen selection with my own of “Don’t Stop”. Listen and picture the hilarity!
Ooh, good picks, especially 5,7, and 9! I could pretty much rock anything by Carole King.
Ohhh man, I would love to do a sweet rendition of that Queen song in karaoke! These are great selections– but I am noticing that Patsy Cline’s “Crazy” is nowhere to be found. What gives?
Yes, RENT!!
I would have to do a little “Alone” by Heart.
Awesome.
that is sooo much fun!!! I love this post!!
You ROCK!!
The only song I’ve ever karaoke’d has been “The Boy is Mine” haha
do you want to duet on #1? i’m AWESOME at that song. I’m totally Maureen. Minus the lesbian part : )
ah I love it! ESPECIALLY jolene! I hear that song.
oh my godddddd. i want to do take me or leave me SO bad. move to jersey. haha. awesome list girl. xoxox
I will sing all of those.
While drunk.
“Out Tonight” from Rent has always been my favorite.
